Let me draw a picture here and you tell me if you can relate.


You work very hard knowing that what you do is very important. You truly believe in your contribution and spend hours on honing your skills. You have great passion for your craft and are committed to do what it takes to succeed.


You will never give up because of having a strong belief that you are born to transform people’s lives. You truly love what you do and are willing to sacrifice. You have already, in fact, gone through a lot of struggle to get where you are.


Maybe you have a part-time job you hate or you work odd jobs to pay the bills. Or, you are tired applying for these but you need some cash for basic necessities.


You are tirelessly trying to win clients mostly relying on referrals working on your business part-time or full-time. You are running around every day until you drop only to start another day feeling exhausted.


Life doesn’t seem to be the way you imagined but you try to stay positive. You try to do your best and accept challenges. You went into business seeking freedom from ‘the system’, from 9 to 5, to follow your calling and with a mission to help as many people as possible but now you realize that business isn’t easy.

It makes your head spin when it comes to getting clients and you live in a ‘feast and famine’ cycle. Some days you get just enough clients to cover your bills or some days none at all. And you feel tired. Very tired.


Marketing is not your forte and winning clients is something you rarely get around to even though it is on your daily must do list.


Lets be blunt, you hate promoting your business. Actually talking to your potential clients brings up a lot of stuff, after all you are shy and you don’t like to do any selling. It is, in fact, totally outside your comfort zone. 


Maybe you have tried some Facebook strategies and some other online tools but you find referrals to be the most effective. And everything else somehow was just a waste of time.


I repeat, you work hard, very hard but you are not earning anywhere near what you believe you deserve. But you have accepted your fate and you are content to keep doing what you do because you love it.



Can I stop right here?!  I want to ask you some questions. 


How long are you going to keep going like this? How long will you last? When are you going to say enough is enough? Please think about this for a minute.


I know you don’t want to do any marketing; you hate being sleazy and manipulative. It goes against your values and principles. You are in business of helping people not making money or lurking them to buy your products and services.


You know you need more clients and you need more cash but you avoid anything to do with marketing or sales…


I am here to help you my friend. And I don’t want to add more stress to your life… But you cannot continue like this. Something has to change as soon as possible. You know it better than me…


You have to accept the fact that this ‘feast and famine cycle’ is draining you out and change in you is required before stress will take its toll.


Good news is that you are not alone. There are people who have been where you are and there are solutions that can help you. It is very possible for you to make twice more than what you currently earn and that may be the way to a happier life.


But you need marketing to move your business forward. Whether you like it or not, you are in business after all. You need to eat, pay bills and buy yourself clothes. 


I want you to accept the truth that marketing is easier than you think and I am here to help you.  Most importantly, there is a way to do marketing without feeling awful about it. 


I know at times you feel overwhelmed because you don’t know exactly what you need to do and how to prioritise.


I have seen it over and over again, incredible heart-centered coaches and entrepreneurs like you who are amazing at what they do get stuck and drained by self-doubt.


Who wonder at times, why is this happening to me? Why this is so damn hard? But then jump into denial the next day pretending everything is fine accepting struggle and focusing on gratitude. 


It breaks my heart to see this every time. I feel you. And I am here to change this. Because I know that getting one-on-one clients that you deserve is a lot easier than you think.


I am all about implementing simple crystal clear strategies. I am all about habits and acting with integrity.


I am against anything sleazy and manipulative. I will never compromise on my values and I will never ask anyone to compromise on theirs and like you I will do what it takes to help my clients.


So many of us are suffering from information overload, let’s start with simple solutions that have nothing to do with marketing.


Step ONE: Make You and Your Family a Priority NOT a Business.

Firstly, I want you to do a social media detox. I want you to stop grabbing your phone first thing in the morning and leaving it by your bed when you retire.


How about having one day Social Media detox during which you do not check your online accounts. And give your mind some rest daily. Try to meditate for at least 5 to 10 minutes in the morning and evening.


If you cannot sit still and listen to your thoughts, get a guided meditation from the Internet then dedicate some time for relaxation.


Your mind and body need it. Your mind is running on autopilot and if you don’t become aware of your thoughts that prevent you from success you run a risk of running around achieving nothing to be proud of.


Health is important. Life is important. And I want you to make them a priority over your business. After all, You come first. Without you or without your health there will be no business.


So, create a morning ritual. Incorporate and prioritize some daily activities that are making you healthy. Fitness, jogging, walking, swimming yoga, meditation go ahead and book them in advance.


Remember your health comes first and business comes second. It is no good to see you run yourself to exhaustion.


You need to stay sharp, healthy and motivated and for that I need you to make your health a priority. I learned this the hard way and I don’t want you to follow my mistakes.



Step TWO: Design Your Ideal Life and Business

Secondly, design your ideal life. What do you see yourself doing in 5 or 10 years from now? How you envision your life and business to be? What do you want to achieve in the near future? 


I don’t have to be a self-help guru or an expert on neuroscience, you are already aware that without knowing where you are going you are going to get nowhere. I know you are a very practical and realistic person. You don’t really like setting goals and keep yourself tied to a deadline. Its ok. All good. 


But using this moment right now, why don’t you clarify for yourself what your ideal life looks like? Remind yourself of what you were envisioning when you started a business. 


What places do you want to visit? How much money do you want to make? How much free time do you want to have? What your ideal lifestyle looks like? What you ideal work day looks like?


Take a pen and paper then write this. Go back to your bucket list. Have a look at it once again. If you don’t have one. Create it now.


This trivial yet very important task helps you get in touch with what your always wanted. It ignites desire and passion in you. It allows you to gain clarity as to where you are now and what steps you need to take to get to your dream.


I know you always have this dream reality at the back of your mind. But how often do you remind yourself about it? How often do you visualise to make it believable? I want you to see it feel it touch it in your imagination now. This is what we live for! This is what keeps us alive too! 


Write out 5 to 10 sentences on what your ideal life and business looks like. Create a bucket list based on things you want to experience. Imagine it. Once this reality will become clear in your minds’ eye, you will be more encouraged to achieve it. 



Step THREE: Build a Solid Marketing Foundation for Your Business

Thirdly, to get the clients you want, you need to build a solid marketing foundation for your business.


No client wants to work with a business that is not established. You will find it harder to convince your prospects to work with you if you don’t know what they want in the first place. 

You need to be clear on your business strategy, decide on your offers, determine your customer avatar, refine your positioning, build a sales funnel etc. I talk a lot about all that in my webinar. Make sure you check out.


I have designed a program that will teach you step-by-step all of the steps you need to take to establish solid foundation for your business.


I have packed my entire 10 years of marketing education into this program. And no, it won’t be some theory stuff or something that requires technical know-how.


It won’t overwhelm you with information giving you too much. You will not be left alone to sort it out on your own. You will get a piece of the puzzle every day allowing you to build your business and win clients in a short amount of time.


This is something you cannot outsource. You have to do it yourself because you are the captain of your business. And you better do it before you make costly mistakes.



Step FOUR: Create a Value Ladder Based on Your Clients’ Results


Fourthly, you need to design a value ladder based on results you deliver to your clients then create different offers and programs that deliver these results pricing them accordingly. Small results command lower fees, bigger results should be sold as high-ticket items.


Here is my example: Helping you get clients is more worth to you than determining your business positioning or crafting your offers. Helping you create a sales system and have it all ‘done-for-you’ would be the most desired. Therefore, the latter will be the most expensive.




What is the ultimate result your clients want to achieve? This question gives you the answer to your clients’ ultimate goal. Where are they at right now? (Situation they are in right now will give you clue as to what steps your clients need to take to get to their ultimate desire). 


What is the most urgent tempting problem they want to get solved? What do they need right now to relieve pain or move closer to their ultimate desire? Or, what is the first step on their journey to that ultimate reality?


The answers to the above will provide with a hint as to what you initial free offer should be especially online. In my case, I offer strategies to get more clients. In your case it could be report on Mistakes as people usually are tired of making them so they ask themselves what not to do to make things better. 


Imagine as if your client is climbing a ladder. Every step he or she takes they are advancing making small results and moving to the ultimate goal at the top of that ladder. Take a piece of paper draw that ladder.


Start with step one, which is their current situation. What do they need to know now to go to the next step? What’s the step after? And then after that? Then, finish that ladder with their ultimate desire


Give a price to each result you offer. How much are your customers prepared to pay for them? Of course the ultimate result should be priced higher than each step that gets your client there…


…And remember, you want them to pay for these results. They must pay. You want to do it for them more than for you because paying for results is the secret to making your customers take action.


Remember this, paying for coaching, starts the coaching. Unfortunately, they won’t value your services as much if you offer it for free. They will procrastinate and they won’t take action. If people don’t pay money they are not invested in their results. Period. 


It has been tested, if clients are getting free coaching or low fees they get much worse results than those who paid higher fees and signed up for longer periods of time. 



Step FIVE: Create a Sales System (aka Funnel) for Your Business.


Creating a sales system for your business is crucial. Such system will multiply your business, automate some of the key marketing processes and give you an opportunity to see what works for you and what doesn’t. 


Sales system online (aka sales funnel) is usually based on the following 4 stages: attracting clients, capturing contact details, adding value, selling various offers.  


What’s most important here is to have an option of collecting your clients’s contact information. Simply put, if you do not have a way of keeping in touch, you do not have a sustainable business.


Any sales system online or offline should start with something valuable you offer for free. This could be a free discovery session, group workshop, report, infographic or video training series.


This initial free offer must be v-a-l-u-a-b-l-e to your potential client. It should be something that makes your prospect want to give his e-mail address in exchange for it.   


Then, you should have a value add campaign in which you help your clients move closer to their ultimate  reality by sharing with them blog posts, videos or podcasts or something else they find valuable. 


Your sales system doesn’t have to exist solely online. You may be having workshops not webinars, private consultations or actual events not teleseminars etc. You may add group coaching programs or ‘done-for-you-packages’. Or, combine your actual offers with those that are available online. 


Then, you can ask any web designer and copywriter to create this online system for you. Or, you can create such funnel yourself by learning to use pre-designed themes and drug & drop builders such as Lead Pages, Click Funnels, Optimise Press or Thrive.   


A sales funnel online usually consists of; subscription pages where prospects leave their contact details in exchange for free giveaways, sales pages where you sell your programs products or services, value add pages on which you post information in a form of videos or articles, membership pages where your clients receive programs they they buy.  


To make this system work you need to promote your various offers regularly. And to figure out, which lead generation strategies work, you should employ at least 3 of them for a period of 60 to 90 days.


Then, focus on those that do and stop using the ones that don’t. This could be webinars, social media campaigns, direct outreach, guest blogging, Facebook ads, Instagram ads, partnerships etc. etc.


The options are endless.


What’s important is that you must incorporate this into your weekly calendar. You can either dedicate one day a week or two hours a day for this. This is for you to decide.


But, I repeat, you need to turn your marketing activities into your regular habits.


You also need to learn about your clients as much as possible. When you know your clients well, you have the power to cut through the noise of thousands of messages they are subjected to every day and get them to listen.


Discovery sessions are perfect for that especially if you know what to ask and how to ask to get them sign up for your services.
